What if I told you that the concept of “karma”, as well as “serving the lord” are matrix traps?
Then I’ll be the guy poking Morpheus on the shoulder, letting him know that there are layers of illusion and enligthenment, and that he still have a lot of ground to be covered.
Please verify your statement with sound reason and logic. I don’t do blind faith, and “what if I told you” doesn’t hold much weight in turns of altering my paradigm, if it’s not backed up with evidence. I would debate your statement, and if what you say makes sense then I might consider it. As for now you are yet to impress me. It is always the nature of the part to serve the whole, as the cell serves the whole organism, as a screw has a function within the mechanism or the hand serves the body. As for karma, it’s one of the fundamental laws of physics that every action has an equal and opposite reaction. This is verified science. Though most only accept this in terms of material transaction, it holds true on levels not appreciable to the untrained eye.
the question is always how free and sovereign are you as a soul?
Again. Verify your statement. Why is this always the question? I don’t accept your premise.
According to my understanding freedom is always subservient to love which is a higher principle. Love is in actually surrender of freedom, as a mother voluntarily gives up her freedom for the sake of her child, and in that surrender in service she experience greater happiness than she could ever by being selfishly absorbed. Regarding sovereignty. Talk about illusion and matrix traps…
then why do you need this requirement of serving in the first place before you can be happy?
Since it is the nature of the soul. The souls natural element is an ever increasing expression of love, which is an emotion and experience, that naturally result in practical action - service in love. The soul needs service like a fish needs water.
The question is not if you will serve. You will, wether you like or not. But who, or what will you serve? Funny how some people serve their dog, faithfully picking up excrements, and the next moment they claim to independent gods. Most serve their physical needs, selfish aims and circumstantial relationships whereas the enlightened serve the Whole of which we are all part.
If you believe in Karma – then how can you actually be free?
Karma implies consequences. So you always have to “watch out for what you are doing/thinking/feeling” etc.
But true freedom can only exist if you can chose what the consequences will be and whether there will be consequences at all.
You know the french philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau? That was his idea. Ultimate freedom. The man, on the plea of expressing his freedom never took responsibility for his actions and fathered several children, whom he abandoned along with their destitute mothers in poverty.
I am personally not looking for freedom. I am looking for being bound with the ropes of love in a relationship, and to experience that love giving rise to true happiness in every action that is undertaking for the sake of the Beloved, which includes all souls as parts of the Whole.
There is also something that is called the “Law of Grace”, where you Higher Self can eliminate any consequences of any action
Sounds nice. But let’s have a practical demonstration of your philosophy in action. I challenge you to drink a liter of water and not pee for the next ten hours. Does your philosophy hold water?
And everything is possible because true freedom is what god/the sourse is.
God includes freedom, but God is so much more than that. Who are you to define and limit God?
Interesting discussion. I look forward to hearing your reflections.
Namaste.
