Summary
Like all meridians, the Bladder meridian runs along the right and left sides of the body. The energy in these channels has different meanings in psychology, physiology, and human life, let’s look at how.
The energy of the right channel of the V meridian is responsible for the functioning of the right hemisphere. It is responsible for the emotional response to the environment. Everything a person sees and observes is initially reflected in emotion—surprise, fear, joy, sadness, horror. The ability to sense is immediately reinforced by emotion. It turns out that if there are no emotions, then observation skills are also reduced. This includes all the receptors that connect our inner world with the outside world—hearing acuity, smell, tactile receptors, and smell—these receptors are responsible for a person’s ability to respond emotionally to external stimuli. With excess energy in this channel, all these receptors are hypersensitive, and a person hears more, feels more, and is very sensitive to smell and very emotional about everything. He shudders at everything, he feels and hears more than others, and then suddenly he discovers a multitude of illnesses and problems, causing him to complain in the hopes of finding someone who will help him and show compassion. This is how the energy of the Hanged Man (taro) works in excess: I’m a victim, I have many problems - help me.
The energy of the left channel of the Bladder meridian is responsible for the functioning of the left hemisphere of the brain - it is responsible for the actual response to an alarm signal, that is, for fulfillment and service, as well as for the actual thinking behind the alarm signal or the implementation of help. This happens to us every day. We sense in our bodies that there is a problem somewhere, with us or others, and we help others. A brick flies at us, an emotion occurs, a reaction occurs, and the body dodges the blow. We cross the road, look left and right, and if we detect danger, we stop or run. This is how the right and left channels of the Bladder meridian function, which corresponds to the nervous system: receiving a signal, reacting, and acting. This is how the Hanged Man works: he acts, obeys, and understands that this act of acting is helping. The Hanged Man understands that he is dependent on external forces and that his duty is to act and obey higher powers. Therefore, often in a dependent, victim-like state, the Hanged Man sees situations differently and understands the meaning of events. If the left channel is in excess, then the person has a lot of service; they voluntarily help, serve, and work hard. They are a willing victim. If the left channel is below normal, then the person is now a forced victim—that is, a true victim, since the left channel is responsible for the functioning of the nervous system, and it is unable to respond to stimuli. The body aches, and chronic pain may occur, preventing any movement. The person cannot move normally, is tired, or exhausted.
It regulates the activity and responsiveness of the nervous system. It is the impulse to move, to reason, and is responsible for the functional capacity of the organs. The energy of the right channel is responsible for mental activity. And the energy of the left channel is responsible for the body’s physical endurance, physical work, and the nutrition of the nervous tissue. Since nervous tissue is quickly depleted, it needs to be regularly nourished, that is, it requires regular eating and relaxation. So, if this meridian is normal, then a person has good performance, both mental and physical, good reaction and observation skills, the nervous system and brain are in perfect order, the person serves and works, and knows how to rest and relax. A person has well-developed vigilance, attention to detail, and observation skills. They clearly hear God’s promptings, see signals, and receive answers to questions from Him. They have a good connection with God the Creator, who sends prompts in the form of vital signals, and the person notices them and easily avoids problems. Now let’s look at the main disharmonies in the meridian. If the energy in the right channel of the meridian is in excess, then a person is mentally overstrained. They begin to tensely search for work, somewhere to clean, something to tidy up. Their brain is overtaxed by any mental work, study, or service. They actively think and ponder, trying to understand, and are tense. They are trying to extract more from their brain than they can handle. One could say that a person is mentally strained and expends energy by forcing themselves to serve beyond their capacity, turning their body into a victim, a hanged man. A person here cannot relax and overuses their brain, thereby exhausting it. In external life, this is expressed in the fact that a person can unconsciously victimize others, forcing them to clean, wash, clean, and work. In other words, they strain themselves and others, forcing them to constantly work, study, and take care of their bodies, making everyone else feel like victims. If the energy in the left channel is in excess, then the person is stuck, dependent, serves and helps others, sacrifices himself, he is a voluntary victim, irons, cooks, washes or kills. He works, or works for someone else, fulfilling responsibilities, and all of this is in excess, which is excessive and physically exhausting. That is, if you work for so long, the nervous system will become very tired and exhausted, leading to nervous disorders and disability. Here, a person voluntarily makes themselves a victim and abuses their body with service, work, and working for others. This is a voluntary sacrifice. Who would they enslave themselves to? Where would they find more work? They need money, because they have to work, so they think. But when the energies of the Bladder meridian are deficient, and most often after work, a person needs restoration; they simply need to eat and relax.
