No one individual sucks. Society sucks. And we are social creatures. We have a society where the only way of moving up seems to be on the backs of others or at the expense of others whether in finance, relationships or in self-esteem.
No one wants to step out of line. Why be the one person not going along with the abuse when it just makes you the target?
But perhaps we will evolve. Or become a resource for someone else who has evolved. Human resources.
