Spiritual Animal Totem Characteristics, Powers, Struggles

I’ve been working with animal totems for a while. So if anyone is interested in more descriptive characteristics and transitions from one totem to another, let me know.

This list is also beneficial for those who started Neoshamanica, as we have deeply imprinted animal symbols in our soul and DNA memory.

We are born with an animal totem, which gives us specific characteristics, as well as shadow aspects. This is often an animal that you admire and feel drawn to. Or when you have a lot of suppressed personality traites than some animals can scare you without logical explanation. When you evolve, your spiritual animal can change.

I was born as a tigress, but due to deep conditioning and programming, I saw a lioness. I had to remove what wasn’t mine. Then I unlocked a phoenix, and it changed a lot in my personality but it was also the most transformative moment in my life. Then I tapped into dragon, which is heavy but powerful (and with a huge ego, lol). I wonder which animal I will feel drawn to now when I change my archetype.

@Polaris A TOTEM series would be fantastic.

How do you connect with a totem animal?

How do you connect with its powers?

Thank you.

During meditation, you can ask your spiritual animal to reveal itself.

I would identify your animal first. Then you can check the list. If it is a tiger, for example, then you start to work on qualities and accept shadows. Simply adapt behaviour into your daily life.

A couple of years ago maybe 2022 I guess ,a dragonfly landed on my head while I was in the pool.

Life hasn’t been the same since. Illusions slowly crumbled .

Dragonflies reminds me of our childhood days. I have always been drawn to Dragonflies ,butterflies , dolphins ,horses, tigers and I fell in love with dragon’s after watching train the dragon. Nightfury😃

As kids I and my elder brother used to catch dragonflies and butterflies in my grandma’s garden during holidays.

He would catch them and we would put them in a container hoping to keep them as pets and then by the time we catch another, The one in the container would be almost fainting and we would put it back on some flowers and continue the same. No suppervision so no one stopped us from these vicious acts. :zipper_mouth_face:

I’m guilty of catching flies and removing their wings when I was a little girl. :face_with_spiral_eyes: When my grandpa saw it explained me, that I kill them. I just wanted them to stop flying and run away.
