Bad karma trough accidently killing animals

Hey friends
I wanted to ask if there is negative karma when you accidentally kill animals?

I have to mow tall grass at work at the moment and I’m honestly having a crisis.
I’m constantly killing mice and rats, a hedgehog here and there and lots of bees, butterflies, beetles and dragonflies.
I’m constantly stopping to let them fly away, but I can’t stop every second. My boss would think I was crazy. Just now I caught another mouse and it hurts my soul. I then take a minute, mourn, repent and apologize… I could cry, but I can’t avoid it without jeopardizing my work. Every now and then a few birds circle and grab the bodies, but does that make it any better?! :frowning:

You won’t get bad karma when you respect their death, and you don’t kill animals with sadistic pleasure. Death is part of life, no matter if you’re human, plant or animal.
Intention is everything, and in your case, your job is involved. Sometimes, you can’t avoid this. However, if you want to bring more balance, then I recommend supporting a dog shelter or any organisation that helps wild animals.
