The phrase “spiritual awakening” gets thrown around a lot, but it seems like everyone means something slightly different by it. For some, it’s a sudden, life‑changing moment. For others, it’s a slow, quiet shift that takes years. I’m curious how you personally understand it – not from books or YouTube, but from your own experience.
- If you had to explain “spiritual awakening” to a friend in simple words, how would you describe it?
- Was there a specific moment when you felt something “clicked”, or has it been gradual?
- Looking back, what are the biggest signs that you were actually waking up?

For me it‘s the sudden crumbling of the belief structure one has built over his whole life.
To sum it up in a Word it would be Unmasking.
This happened to me about 4 Years ago during the biggest lie. Everything I thought to be real, suddenly wasn‘t.
This is Spiritual Awakening for me, because I awoke from this Masked reality and started to discover what‘s actually behind it.
End point would be Enlightenment I guess

When I look at my path and the path of others, I notice a common thread.
Most persons are not fed anything of substance growing up. We are taught religions that are practiced out of habit, political ideologies, cultural practices that we are not supposed to question.
Some remain stuck there and some distance themselves from those. For the ones that refuse the systems they grew up in, the next step is a form of emptiness. It usually manifests in some form of atheism or materialism and some sort of rebellion.
It takes some further discernment to realize that is also built on lies. Sometimes it comes in a shock or an epiphany, sometimes it comes in waves, sometimes getting to rock bottom wakes you, sometimes it is a gradual realisation that you were the architect of your own nightmare. That, to me, is the spiritual awakening.
Knowing that the material world is not either real or an illusion, but the consequence of an unseen world. Priorities shift and things that drove you mad become irrelevant.
