Not everyone on a spiritual path believes in gods, angels, spirits, or even an afterlife. For some, spirituality is more about inner peace, ethics, presence, and a sense of connection – without any specific metaphysical beliefs. I’m curious where you stand on this.
Do you see spirituality as necessarily involving “supernatural” elements, or not?
How do you define spirituality for yourself, in simple words?
Have your beliefs about the non‑physical changed over time?
I was introduced to spirituality and began to develop myself through the teachings of Dr. Joseph Murphy. I strongly believe that spirituality is equivalent to metaphysics, and I doubt that someone who doesn’t believe in supernatural metaphysical phenomena can progress spiritually.
I don’t believe that is possible unless they at least believe in the Creator/Source. Many base their beliefs in science, but science falls short exactly when consciousness begins.
