Intuition vs Anxiety: How Do You Tell Them Apart in Real Life?

“Trust your intuition” sounds great… until you’re in a situation where you’re not sure if it’s actually intuition or just fear talking. Anxiety can feel very loud and urgent, while intuition can be quieter – but in the moment, it’s not always easy to know. Let’s share how we navigate this in everyday life.

  • How does your intuition usually “speak” to you – body sensations, inner voice, knowing?

  • Can you remember a time when you mistook anxiety for intuition (or the other way around)?

  • What helps you calm down enough to hear the difference more clearly?

Intuition for me is without charge and comes from a place of fullness. It’s not driven by urgency, must do it or things won’t work out feeling, intense passionate desire, lack, fear. A couple of breathing cycles with longer exhales usually settles me.

In the past, when my system was shot I would make purchases thinking I absolutely need this to develop or get out of the rut. Many a times, I didn’t use what I purchased, didn’t like it later and it ended up being a waste of resource but a good teacher none the less.

In my opinion Intuition feels natural and you are in the flow and if you are calm and feel like the insight you have just fit as piece in a puzzle and in anxiety you just have a thought or emotion but you don’t feel the feeling of the insight.

But the difficult is if you receive an insight and you have anxiety and you don’t have clear thinking it could be dangerous take a supposed insight as true.
