You can make something similar.
Just find a small waterproof case of some sort or maybe even a plastic ziplock bag to put the mandala in. You can also use the Field Broadcaster DM to cover a wider range

Why would you think that it would not work? The title says plant but is fungi not part of the plant kingdom? Im pretty certain it will work for your purpose.
No they’re apart of their own kingdom separated from plants so are not considered plants. I ask because I didn’t know if the energies have to recognize a species to be plant before working on it
