Who do you want to be

Use this Thread to define what Person you actually want to be in this life.

Or don‘t Lol!

I‘m usually very conflicted about who I really am.

But it doesn‘t have to be so hard.

I want to be a medium level retarded and wild man, while incorporating the Main Virtues of Courage, Wisdom, Joy and Kindness.

I want to become a living Legend, which requires me to stop overthinking everything and let action be my Language.

I don‘t have to choose to be just one Type of Guy. I‘m gonna be everything I want to be, however and whenever I want to.

I call that being rich in Character.

So you‘ll be seeing me swapping Characters in an Instant.

SNAP, and boom I‘m a different Guy now.

UNPREDICTABLE

Whoever put the Idea into my mind, that I have to be a certain way to be accepted can kiss my you know what:grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

And Screw Imposter Syndrome.

I just don‘t care anymore. I‘ll be true to myself. And I recommend that to anyone. But you gotta heal Those wounds first, speaking from Experience.

When I want to be retarded I‘ll be retarded, when I want to be rude I‘ll be rude, when I want to be kind I‘ll be kind, when I want to help I‘ll help.

And When I‘m wrong I use the Virtues of Wisdom and Courage to first notice it and then admit that I‘m wrong.

I‘ll use Joy to lighten the Mood everywhere I go.

I‘ll use kindness to do what my Heart desires.

That‘s the Way to Liberation :flexed_biceps:t4:

I really like the spirit of this thread.

I’ve spent a lot of my life trying to become better at things— whether it was a specific skill or simply stronger, more knowledgeable, more capable. And I’m grateful for that drive. But the older I get, the more I realize that none of those things really answer the question of what kind of person I want to be.

I think I’d like to be someone who is strong without needing to prove it, kind without being weak, confident without losing humility, and curious enough to keep changing my mind when I’m wrong.

I want to have courage when things are difficult, patience with the people I love, and enough humor not to take myself too seriously.

I also don’t want self-improvement to turn into constantly feeling like the person I am today isn’t good enough. There will probably always be another skill to learn, another weakness to work on, another goal to chase. I’d like to enjoy that process without postponing happiness until I finally become some imaginary “finished” version of myself.

And maybe most importantly, I want to remain teachable. The more I learn, the more aware I become of how much I don’t know.

Hopefully I can become wiser, braver, kinder, more useful to the people around me—and a little less afraid of being imperfect along the way.

At the end of the eclipse corridor, a part of me still wants to be a dictator :upside_down_face:

Who doesn‘t :joy:

A world under my rule. What a dream

Who do you want to be? What a question—the kind of question I wouldn’t like to address lightly. Personally, I resonate quite a bit with @SpiritualSeeker perspective, as I also spent much of my youth trying to improve in one way or another, always in a process of constant self-improvement. Certainly, I acquired skills along the way, but that didn’t seem to be the true path. After all: growth without direction is not real growth.

For me, the point of no return came when I started asking myself one single question: Why?

Why learn this skill? Why take that course? Why start this business instead of another? Why choose this Maitreya’s field ? Why would I want to become this or that kind of person?

Why?

The answers to that question have been diverse and deeply insightful. They have undeniably helped me discern which drives are truly mine and which are not. Thus, since this question has played such a vital role in my spiritual and personal development, I hope to become the kind of person who never stops asking questions about life, about others, and about oneself. The kind of person who, despite the passing of years, retains the curiosity to ask “why” and takes the time to discover the answer. I hope to be the kind of person who grows old without losing sense of wonder before life and creation. Above all, I hope to be the kind of person who does not give in to cynicism.

If I am to develop anything, let it be strength of spirit and discernment: so that the turns of life do not harden my heart, so that misunderstandings do not feed me the poison of bitterness, so that hardships do not cloud my eyes to beauty or blessings; to reach out a hand when needed, and to ask for forgiveness when I have erred. Strength of spirit and discernment: to take nothing and no one for granted, to stay grounded, to never lose the capacity for gratitude, and to rise lightly as many times as necessary if I happen to fall. Yes, strength of spirit and discernment—so as never to lose faith in life or in people.
