We have location and laboratory in Europe. 
But in Europe, our customers pay 20% VAT which is mandatory so…

I had to pay $132.40 for the customs. Way too much ..
We can do it differently.
For example, the total price of one pendant is $350.
We can split the product into two parts: the physical pendant for $10 and the energy-charging service for $340.
For the buyer, the total price remains the same - $350. At the same time, the 20% tax is calculated only on the price of the pendant itself (which is $10).
This makes the setup honest, clear, and profitable.

This will definitely be considered fraud if you undervalue a physical product.
I’m telling you this as a former international auditor.
However, you can buy such pendants on Alibaba for $2. Everything else is the value of your intellectual capabilities -meaning, intangible assets.
And customs does not control intangible assets. It only controls physical goods. Of course, there are certain rules, such as the Condition of Sale. This is the most important legal marker.
The question is: “Can a buyer purchase this pendant for $10 WITHOUT buying the $340 energy charging?”
If they CANNOT (meaning the sale of the pendant is only possible upon paying for the service), then customs will recognize this $340 as part of the “price actually paid or payable” for the goods. You will be hit with additional duties and taxes on the full $350.
If they CAN (meaning there is a basic option on the website: “Buy an empty pendant for $10” and “Buy a $340 charging for any of your own pendants”), then this separation is legal. Customs will clear the package at $10.
Also, to be honest, I don’t see any difference between charging an image and charging a pendant.
But a pendant implies paying VAT, while an image does not.

I think the problem is the courier you choose, DHL.
Everytime I got delivery from this DHL from USA, they always charge a heavy custom fee.
At first i thought it was because i bought electronic items ( I bought wireless mic system. The custom is almost 40%…)
Then i tried solar cooker, also 35%.
Now, even a pendant, 25%. I think it is courier choice.
As for @hero suggestion, i think his strategy will work for ebay type of bidding. In that case, you can label a pendant for $1, while charging shipping like $349, if you plan to sell this pendant as $350. This is not a fraud if you don’t do it frequently. But if you do it as a shop or business, i think it will create issue in the long run. Government always want a piece of your wealth.

Yes but if I buy each one separately there is $35 dollars in shipping for each one of them. I agree with DHL they charge the customs a lot. Where as I have products that comes form Germany with other carriers I have paid none in customs charge.
For the second shipment I paid $140… Its very frustrating. Felt like it is of no use. I could have bought good fields for this amount and Mai would have gotten benefit.
