Spiritual Practice/Meditation

I wanted to ask how you guys do your Spiritual Practices?

People who are in Neoshamanica, who are doing the Ancestral Course, who use the Eternal Self Communicator or just Meditating in General.

Do you have a Space that you created for yourself at home, where you can meditate freely?

A space deicated only for that.

Do you do it lying down, seated in Lotus, or even seated on a chair?

How can you relax in Lotus Position? I find that very difficult!

Do you have a pre Meditation/Practice Ritual? Like drinking a special Tea to calm down etc.

How are your surroundings? Is everything cleaned up? And do you notice better Practice with a clean Space around you?

I’m cleaning up my apartment now, and I have space in a room that I can dedicate for Meditation and Practice only. And I will do that, but I wanna make it good and effective.

I’m also gonna hire a cleaning Lady for my apartment because I’m incapable of really cleaning up:joy:

I wanna feel at home again haha.

And as for the spiritual Practices, I am very sloppy when doing it.

My room is usually quite a mess and I can’t even make it fully dark sometimes. I’m placing many obstacles in my own way!

I appreciate any Ideas/Tips :slightly_smiling_face:

Hi @sikras67 I just do it on my room on a white towel and first ground myself by focusing on the thigh imagining like the inhale and exhale of breath over there, after that then I pray god and then do meditation just focus on the tip of the nose and watch my breath for one nazhigai(24 mins) and I do it on the white towel in sama bandha asanam.

I have a space in my room that is dedicated to meditation. I meditate in lotus posture. It took 2 years to be comfortable in lotus posture. First breath work and then meditate. I also use Grounding mat to calm myself. Use Alpha brain wave field before meditating.

Woah 2 years:grimacing:

Respect for staying on it

And Alpha Brain wave also good to know!

Honestly lying down, legs crossed or simply on a chair are good positions as far as I am concerned. When I do it with my legs crossed, I use the exact alignment I was taught in Zen (ears in line with shoulders, spine upright etc.).

Using crystals gives it a boost. If I have a specific goal or if I am trying to do something specific with my energy, I will use a specific mudra/hand position accordingly.

My meditation room is my head. haha

Otherwise, physically I don’t think it matters what kind of environment you are in unless it helps the person in some way. I had a friend who used to say he couldn’t meditate unless he showered beforehand and dressed in white clothes. Otherwise he felt dirty and couldn’t meditate.

For many years I used to sit in the lotus position and it was very comfortable for me, but at some point I started feeling like it was misaligning my pelvis, so I stopped doing it. Now I just make sure my legs and back are in a good position and that I’m comfortable — lying down or sitting — and that’s all.

Sometimes I cleanse the room with incense because I really love the smell of it.
