Well, first of all before talking about techniques it’s important to understand the philosophy behind it. Brahmacarya means to be a celibate students, and the first thing that such students are taught is that they are not the body but the soul, and if your satisfaction is based on bodily stimulation then you are simply reinforcing the net of illusion.
Furthermore if you are satisfied at heart, what is the need to look for satisfaction in temporary stimulus? It is stated in the Bhagavad-Gita that such short-lived pleasures are not suitable for intelligent persons. I have lived in celibacy for a decade in an ashram, and I would encourage everyone addicted to or dependent on sex to be introspective, and ask themselves the question, why cannot I not be satisfied without it? If your belly is full, food naturally becomes less attactive.
What I mean by expressing love in different ways is based on the spiritual understanding that as parts of God our pleasure is interdependent with His, and by satisfying the Lord through noble work and actions (karma) with a heart full of love (bhakti) brings about the topmost satisfaction of the soul. The acts may vary but the key point is the selfless intention driving them. The favourite pastimes of me and my wife is to enlighten others in Vedic spiritual philosophy, to meditate on the sacred names of God and to cook the most delicious vegetarian preparations with love and distribute it liberally and indiscriminately to the children of God for His pleasure.
No I am not talking about tantra and astral sex. That is just a more subtle and sophisticated way of outliving the same animalistic propensity, but compared to the happiness of the soul in union with the Lord it pales into insignificance as a dinky little matchstick in the light of a supernova. If you want to know more I recommend you read the Bhagavad-Gita and the Srimad-Bhagavatam, the crest jewels of Vedic wisdom.
